Out and About in Charleston: French Quarter Art Walk

Despite our best intentions to go last year, Daniel and I never made it to one of the Art Walks in the French Quarter area of downtown. We have, however, heard only good things and are definitely making plans to attend.

Art Walks are held the first Friday in March, April, May, June, October, and December. The many art galleries keep their doors open on into the evening and invite locals and visitors alike to check out the latest pieces and collections, meet some of the artists, and enjoy wine and other refreshments.

The first Art Walk of 2008 is set for (this) Friday, March 7 starting at 5:00pm and wrapping up around 8:00pm. If you need more information about the various galleries (as well as a map), check out the French Quarter Gallery Association’s website.
