Room with a View

Finally, we’re able to take advantage of the window in the living room! The roller shades are in, and we couldn’t be happier. We opted for three separately controlled shades for each window as opposed to one enormous shade. As a result, we have greater versatility since not all three have to be opened at once, and Daniel and I both agree that, when lowered, three panels look much better from the living room than one vast shade.

We decided on the reverse roll for the installation, which means the shade isn’t flush with the glass. As a result, the shade doesn’t get stuck on the lower section of the window.

At the time we ordered the blinds, we decided against the snap-on covering to go over the roll and hardware. It doesn’t bother me since the roll and hardware blend into the trim really well, but we’ll see how we like it after having the shades in place for a bit.

I absolutely love how we’re able to take advantage of all of the natural light. I didn’t realize how much light the temporary shades blocked since we weren’t able to roll them up completely.
