Out and About in Charleston: Strawberry Festival at Boone Hall Plantation

Those of you who know me already know how much I absolutely love strawberries, so I’m really excited about Boone Hall Plantation’s yearly strawberry festival (and I’m wondering how I managed to miss it last year).

According to their website, “this year’s lineup promises to deliver [more variety than ever]. More rides and games for the kids, more food, more music, recipe & pie eating contests, (strawberry of course), gardening consultants… the list goes on & on.”

In October 2006, Daniel, my parents, and I went to Boone Hall for their pumpkin patch and corn maze and had a great time (it was my first corn maze). So I’m looking forward to their springtime festival. In particular, I’m really anticipating the “u-pick” strawberry field (fresh, hand-picked strawberries–what could be better?).
