I actually have two new events to post for this weekend, which is a good thing because it means that Charleston (more specifically, North Charleston) is bustling with fun events.![]()
The event to head to this Saturday night is Kulture Klash 2, which is happening at 10 Storehouse Row in the old Navy Yard. Daniel and I were at the first event back one chilly night in November and are looking forward to heading back to the second round. According to the Charleston City Paper, Kulture Klash 2 “highlights the local, eclectic, and innovative creative minds in the Charleston area.” Kulture Klash 1 had everything from live screenprinting and graffiti art to DJs and break dancers. Add food and drink from local Charleston restaurants, and you end up with a truly collaborative artistic experience that spans all mediums.
This Friday night’s event promises no less and includes performance art by Experiments in Dance, Homespun Hoops and Hypnotik Body Rock and music by Dub Island Sound System, DJ James Belk, and the Spaced Invaders.
If you happen to live downtown, you can catch the LEEP biodiesel bus to and from Storehouse Row ($10 round trip). Shuttles leave at 6:45 and 7:15pm and come back at 11:30 and midnight.
